Ronald Reagan said
it best. If this planet was attacked by outside alien forces we would come
together, live and fight as one species to survive. We saw this on 9-11 when
there were no democrats or republicans, blacks, whites, Asians, or Hispanic.
There was PEOPLE, trying to figure out what just happened. When it was decided
it was Muslims that planned and carried out the events of that day, then the
planet immediately reverted back to the hate and anger, this time on millions
of innocent Muslims that had nothing to do with it. Then slowly we reverted
back to the cultural differences that we can not seem to conquer. As a society
we need to realize that we all are ALL victims. Against the race war, bigotry,
the hate, the bullies, and the self absorbed labels that we place on others
that do the not fit our perceptions.
Did Martin Luther's
dream die with him? Sometimes it seems so. In fact it seems that most of the
people that even bring up the race issue are the ones racist against others,
and I'm not just talking color either, same goes for sexual orientation,
gender, and especially religious belief and now we have included professions
into that hate. Cops everywhere are
targeted with hate because of the actions of a few criminals that wore a badge.
The age of the camera has arrived and so it is, now the hate is spreading like
an out of control fire. I pray humanity wakes up to this harm and devastation,
so our children and grandchildren can even survive.
